Doctors Notes Reveal Different Life Situations

Doctors notes can be good resource for humorous stories. I work at the human resource department of my company and each week, I receive an average of two doctors notes from the employees. I am not the one who approves the notes but my work requires me to go over each item before endorsing them to the human resource head. In reading the doctors notes, I have gathered ideas about the different situations in life of people.

One note read that the employee was not able to call in sick during his absence because his house phone was out of order. This is just one of the many doctors notes that I have read during the past years. I understand the notes are usually downloaded from websites.

Considering there are fees involved, I wonder why a person would spend for just a note to excusehim from being absent. Then again it occurs to me that it is better to pay a small fee than to lose your job.
